Academy

UX/UI hiring process bootcamp website.

Built information architecture and storytelling journey. All based on research and collaborative work.

Overview

Design Jam Academy is a program by Design Jam Indonesia for Junior Designers with at least 1 year of experience who want to learn about the hiring process part in digital product design. I collaborated with the team to design the website to serve as a dedicated place for potential students to access information and make informed decisions.

Challenge

Before the event start, people need to join. But how might we create the best experiences before they take a decision?

Strategy

Setting the principles; Relevant & Needs

I did a desk research by analyzing the the existing surveys and interviews from the research team and auditing the storytelling an existing product of Design Jam Indonesia. The result help me to maximize the 3 factors of experience; structure, interface, and information.

Storytelling

From just informational to be directional

Based on the storytelling audit I did, combined with the previous set of principles, I crafted the storytelling journey; Context, Problem, and Recommendation.

Takeaways

I learned about considering edge cases and paying attention to how the bigger picture happens.

Working with more experienced designers allow me to build my problem-solving skills, communication, and collaboration.

  1. Deliver design work, ask for feedback, and more communication stuff

  2. Analyzing research insights

  3. Understanding the root problem/challenges

Next time for my working process is to incorporate a better discussion and documentation to make sure we don’t miss things out easily.
